Defining Features of Gabriele‐de Vries Syndrome in Adults: A Case Report and Literature Review
ABSTRACT Gabriele‐de Vries syndrome (GADEVS) is a neurodevelopmental disorder caused by heterozygous pathogenic variants in the YY1 gene. Like most rare genetic syndromes, the adult manifestations of GADEVS remain poorly defined. Here, we describe the oldest patient reported to date with GADEVS—a 63‐year‐old woman with a c.1177_1179del YY1 variant ...

Background: Patients with inferior wall myocardial infarction (IWMI) associated with right ventricular (RV) infarction have much higher rates of adverse events. Aim: Tissue Doppler (TDI) systolic annular velocity (S′) and myocardial performance index may

In this study, we primarily simulated pathological myocardial remodeling induced by transverse aortic constriction surgery and found significant cardiac hypertrophy and fibrosis, characterized by deteriorated cardiac function. Oxidative stress response is considered as a pivotal pathological process, which contributes to inflammation and apoptosis of ...

A Study on Clinical Manifestations of Right Ventricular Myocardial Infarction [PDF]
CONCLUSION: 1. The incidence of Right Ventricular Myocardial Infarction is fairly common (38%) and its more common in males than females and the difference being less as the age advances. 2. In majority of patients retrosternal chest pain and anginal

A case of ventricular triple rupture after an acute myocardial infarction
Cardiac rupture, such as ventricular free-wall rupture, ventricular septal perforation, and papillary muscle rupture, is a life-threatening complication of acute myocardial infarction.

We report a novel embolus‐induced PE rat model prepared via the inferior vena cava under ultrasound guidance. The embolus employed featured a tubular plastic casing filled with thrombus. By minimizing the contact surface between plasmin and thrombus, it effectively restrains the elevated plasmin activity in rats.

Tunable Regional Targeting of Self‐Assembling Peptide Nanomaterials in Acute Myocardial Infarction
In a rat model of acute myocardial infarction, intravascular delivery of peptide nanofibers with a collagen‐targeting peptide bound to the infarct vasculature while globular peptide nanoparticles penetrated into the infarct area. This study demonstrated that size, shape, and surface chemistry of nanomaterials control the delivery location within the ...

Right ventricular myocardial infarction
Severe right ventricular (RV) dysfunction leading to the classic hemodynamic changes occurs in approximately 10% of inferior myocardial infarctions and is associated with higher rates of mortality, cardiogenic shock, sustained ventricular arrhythmias ...
