Metastasizing leiomyoma obstructing the right ventricular outflow tract

open access: yesAnnals of Cardiac Anaesthesia, 2020
A very loud systolic murmur was identified during a pre-operative evaluation of a 51-year-old woman for an elective hysterectomy. The TTE showed a 4.7 cm intracardiac mass obstructing the RVOT. The patient was scheduled instead for resection of the mass.

A single coronary artery with left circumflex artery crossing right ventricular outflow tract in tetralogy of Fallot with absent left pulmonary artery [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Research, 2021
Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) with unilateral absence of pulmonary artery and the anomalous coronary artery is a rare combination. Detailed preoperative evaluation of coronary artery anatomy is must to prevent injury to the major vessels crossing right ...

Electrical and Structural Insights into Right Ventricular Outflow Tract Arrhythmogenesis

open access: yesInternational Journal of Molecular Sciences, 2023
The right ventricular outflow tract (RVOT) is the major origin of ventricular arrhythmias, including premature ventricular contractions, idiopathic ventricular arrhythmias, Brugada syndrome, torsade de pointes, long QT syndrome, and arrhythmogenic right ...

Brugada syndrome and reduced right ventricular outflow tract conduction reserve: a final common pathway?

open access: yesEuropean Heart Journal, 2021
Brugada syndrome (BrS) was first described as a primary electrical disorder predisposing to the risk of sudden cardiac death and characterized by right precordial lead ST elevation.

Right ventricular outflow obstruction caused by cocoon duct occluder used for closure of ruptured sinus of valsalva aneurysm

open access: yesAnnals of Cardiac Anaesthesia, 2021
Hemolytic anemia and right ventricular outflow tract obstruction following device closure of ruptured sinus of Valsalva have seldom been reported in isolated case reports, and exact incidence is not known.

Electrophysiology and Arrhythmogenesis in the Human Right Ventricular Outflow Tract

open access: yesCirculation: Arrhythmia and Electrophysiology, 2022
Background: Right ventricular outflow tract (RVOT) is a common source of ventricular tachycardia, which often requires ablation. However, the mechanisms underlying the RVOT’s unique arrhythmia susceptibility remain poorly understood due to lack of ...

Right ventricle outflow tract dilatation and pulmonary artery aneurysm, rare cardiac conditions

open access: yesRadiology Case Reports, 2022
We describe a rare case of simultaneous idiopathic right ventricular outflow tract dilatation and idiopathic main pulmonary artery aneurysm. A 59-year-old male presented with complaints of exertional shortness of breath and a cardiac murmur since ...
