Dynamic response of rigid polyurethane foam [PDF]

open access: yes, 1976
Abstract : The dynamic characteristics of six rigid polyurethane foams were studied at impact velocities from 15.24 to 60.96 m/s (50 to 200 ft/sec). A test technique developed for crushing confined samples is described. The dynamic properties of materials tested are reported by both graphical and tabular methods.

Elastomers Combining Damping Efficiency With Rapid Recovery

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Double network granular elastomers (DNGEs) combine high energy dissipation under both cyclic loading and high impact with rapid shape recovery. 3D printing enables the production of complex, customizable structures with tailored performance. Recyclable DNGEs retain their properties over multiple recycling cycles.
