Photochemistry and Photobiology, EarlyView.Inorganic sunscreens containing the UV filters titanium dioxide (TiO2) and/or zinc oxide (ZnO) alleviated various biomarkers of photoaging in human dermal fibroblasts, at a gene and protein level. The study provides novel insights that observe the impact of inorganic photoprotection through the molecular biology of skin.
