Effects of Water Soluble Rosin on the Corrosion Inhibition of Carbon Steel

New corrosion inhibitors, namely, rosin poly(oxyethylene) ester 4,5-dihydroimidazole maleate Adduct (RIMA-PEG), have been synthesized from rosin acid natural product. The chemical structure of the prepared RIMA-PEG was confirmed by FTIR analysis.
