Interpreting Aromaticity and Antiaromaticity through Bifurcation Analysis of the Induced Magnetic Field

open access: yesChemistryOpen, 2019
In all molecules, a current density is induced when the molecule is subjected to an external magnetic field. In turn, this current density creates a particular magnetic field.

Rashba-induced transverse pure spin currents in a four-terminal quantum dot ring

open access: yes, 2009
By applying a local Rashba spin-orbit interaction on an individual quantum dot of a four-terminal four-quantum-dot ring and introducing a finite bias between the longitudinal terminals, we theoretically investigate the charge and spin currents in the ...

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Relationships between field-aligned currents and convection observed by EISCAT and implications concerning the mechanism that produces region-2 currents: Statistical study

open access: yesAnnales Geophysicae
Fluid theories explain the origin of region-2 field-aligned currents as the closure of the ring current, driven itself by the azimuthal pressure gradients generated in the magnetospheric ring plasma by the sunward convection.

Research on Measures to Limit Short-Circuit Current by Changing the Structure of the Power Grid

open access: yesEnergies
This paper addresses the increasingly severe issue of excessive short-circuit currents brought about by the rapid development of large power grids. The working principles of structural changes in the grid as a means of limiting currents are studied, and ...

Comparisons of π-Electron Ring-Current and Bond-Current Patterns Calculated by Topological (‘HLPM’) and Ab Initio (‘Ipso-Centric’) Formalisms for Two Isomeric Conjugated Hydrocarbons, Corazulene and Cornaphthalene

open access: yesCroatica Chemica Acta, 2015
The π-electron ring-currents and bond-currents associated with the isomeric structures corazulene (1) and cornaphthalene (2) are calculated by means of the rudimentary topological Hückel–London–Pople–McWeeny (HLPM) method (which is entirely equivalent to

Flux Dependence of Persistent Current in a Mesoscopic Disordered Tight Binding Ring

open access: yes, 2001
We reconsider the study of persistent currents in a disordered one-dimensional ring threaded by a magnetic flux, using he one-band tight-binding model for a ring of N-sites with random site energies.
