On p-Adic Estimates of Weights in Abelian Codes over Galois Rings [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Let p be a prime. We prove various analogues and generalizations of McEliece's theorem on the p-divisibility of weights of words in cyclic codes over a finite field of characteristic p. Here we consider Abelian codes over various Galois rings.

Therapeutic Apheresis in Nigeria: A Multi‐Center Summary of Abstracts From the Inaugural Nigerian Society for Apheresis Scientific Meeting

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Therapeutic apheresis (TA) is an established treatment modality for hematologic, neurologic, and immunologic disorders, yet access remains severely limited in sub‐Saharan Africa. Donor apheresis, including platelet apheresis collection from healthy donors, represents an important complementary modality supporting blood product ...

Misaligned Rings Around Minor Planets with Moons

open access: yesUniverse
Recent observations have confirmed the existence of rings around minor bodies in the outer solar system. These objects may possess satellites as well. Here, we analytically investigate the interaction between such rings and satellites.

An Optimum Design Problem in Estimating the Rings Number and Perforated Pins in a Micro Hemispherical Pin Fin Heat Sink [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied Fluid Mechanics
A numerical study was undertaken to evaluate the hydrothermal performance of a heat sink incorporating hemispherical pin fins (HSPFs) augmented with rings under fully turbulent flow conditions, aiming to determine the optimal design configuration ...

On cubic rings and quaternion rings

open access: yesJournal of Number Theory, 2009
In their book on ``The theory of irrationalities of the third degree'' [Translations of Mathematical Monographs. 10. American Mathematical Society (1964; Zbl 0133.30202)] \textit{B.~N. Delone} and \textit{D.~K. Fadeev} established a correspondence between three-dimensional \(\mathbb Z\)-orders and binary cubic forms which is essentially one-to one ...

ON SMARANDACHE RINGS [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
It is proved that a ring R in which for every x ∈ R there exists a (and hence the smallest) natural number n(x) > 1 such that xn(x) = x is always a Smarandache Ring.

Experience With Performing Rheocarna Therapy via the Single‐Needle Method for Treatment of Chronic Limb‐Threatening Ischemia

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction This study investigated the safety and efficacy of single‐needle Rheocarna therapy for chronic limb‐threatening ischemia (CLTI) with wounds. Methods Six patients with CLTI involving ulcers unresponsive to revascularization underwent single‐needle Rheocarna treatment.

Cyclicity of Binary Group Codes

open access: yesEntropy
In this paper, we study the cyclicity of binary group codes, identifying them as ideals in a group algebra. We focus on the construction of ω|ω¯ codes, proving that they are self-dual group codes over the abelian group C2×Ck. We demonstrate that for even

Analysis of magnetoresistance in arrays of connected nano-rings

open access: yes, 2007
We study the anisotropic magnetoresistance (AME) of a 2D periodic square array of connected permalloy rings with periodicity of 1m combining experimental and computational techniques.

Prognosis of Long‐Term Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy and the Impact of Combined Continuous Intravenous Sodium Infusion Therapy

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Patients requiring long‐term continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) generally have poor prognoses. This study evaluated whether adding continuous intravenous sodium infusion (cIVNa) is associated with improved hemodynamics and outcomes in patients undergoing long‐term CRRT for ≥ 7 days.
