Gradient‐ and Newton‐Based Unit Vector Extremum Seeking Control

ABSTRACT This paper proposes new methods for stable and efficient convergence in multivariable extremum seeking control (ESC) using sliding mode techniques. Inspired by classical sliding modes and finite‐time control, the approach integrates these ideas into gradient‐ and Newton‐based ESC schemes with sinusoidal perturbations.

Resonance‐Enhanced Four‐Wave Mixing Imaging for Mapping Defect Regions in Vanadium‐Doped WS2 Monolayers

Resonant four‐wave mixing (FWM) microscopy reveals a spatial modulation of the third‐order nonlinear optical response in vanadium‐doped WS2 monolayers. This robust nonlinear contrast technique tracks the preferential accumulation of vanadium dopants along the structural bisection lines of the synthesized flakes.
