Riphean basins of the central and western Siberian Platform

Marine and Petroleum Geology, 2011
Abstract The Siberian Platform is unique by its volume of Meso-Neoproterozoic sedimentary deposits. For about one billion years (∼1650–650 Ma) several sedimentary basins were developed here, resulting in the formation of several kilometers thickness of sedimentary cover.

Hydrocarbon Potential of Riphean-paleozoic Deposits of Taimyr

Proceedings, 2012
Regional 2D seismic explorations of enhanced depth were carried out at the beginning of XXI century for the first time. They allowed together with other geological-geophysical data fundamentally change the model of structure of Yenisey-Khatanga regional depression, Taimyr mountain area, Siberian Platform and Western-Siberian plate.

Upper Riphean and Vendian sandstones of the Bashkirian anticlinorium

Lithology and Mineral Resources, 2010
The analysis of lithogeochemical data on the Upper Riphean and Vendian sandstones from the Bashkirian anticlinorium showed that sandstone associations formed in a passive sluggish tectonic regime in the middle Late Vendian were replaced by associations accumulated in the more active tectonic settings.

Differentiation and correlation of the Riphean rocks of Eastern Siberia

International Geology Review, 1966
Experimental studies of a number of monomineralic and mixed powdered sulfide minerals reveal that electrolytic solution — and therefore, the type of transport of radicals which makes for halo deposits — will occur whenever a pair of sulfide minerals is connected by a conducting rock of whatever permeability, and the charge in equality, between the ...

Silicification of Riphean Carbonate Sediments (Yurubcha-Tokhomo Zone, Siberian Craton)

Lithology and Mineral Resources, 2005
Types and lateral and vertical distribution of silicification in Riphean (largely dolomitic) rocks of the Yurubcha-Tokhomo zone of the Siberian Craton are discussed. It is shown that quartz and pyroclastic material in sediments were subjected to intense dissolution in a highly alkaline Riphean basin with the release of silica. Rapid and abrupt decrease

Approaches to Studies of Fractured Riphean Reservoirs, Kuyumba Oilfield

Proceedings, 2014
This work is related to the issues in focus of exploration of the opened fractured zones in the riphean deposits that are productive on the Kuyumba field. Studying of the core samples show several stages in fracture origin, one of those are mineralized and another are opened and good to be studied by this paper.

Lithofacies Model of Riphean Formation of Yurubcheno–Tochomskoe Field

Proceedings, 2010
Carbonate oil reservoirs have complex structure and vertical and lateral variations of properties. Carbonate rocks are highly transformed by secondary processes, which may entirely change the structure of rocks and the cavity geometry. A geological model of carbonate oil reservoir must take into consideration all of the following factors: the detailed ...

RIPHEAN OPHIOLITES OF THE ISAKOVKA BELT (Yenisei Ridge)

Russian Geology and Geophysics, 1994
Structure and rock composition of the Isakovka ophiolite belt within the northwestern part of the Yenisei Ridge were considered. Oceanic and island-arc tectonically related allochthon complexes covering continental margin of the Siberian platform were distinguished.

Rugosoopsis : a new group of Upper Riphean animals

Geological Society, London, Special Publications, 2007
Abstract The Upper Riphean Lakhanda biota (from the Uchur-Mayai region of SE Siberia) contains abundant, well preserved and highly biodiverse microfossil assemblages including Rugosoopsis microfossils, characterized by a uniform shape, with prominent closely transversely spaced wrinkles on the outer ...
