Trust Games Measure Trust [PDF]
The relationship between trust and risk is a topic of enduring interest. Although there are substantial differences between the ideas the terms express, many researchers from different disciplines have pointed out that these two concepts become very ...

Cytoplasmic p21 promotes stemness of colon cancer cells via activation of the NFκB pathway
Cytoplasmic p21 promotes colorectal cancer stem cell (CSC) features by destabilizing the NFκB–IκB complex, activating NFκB signaling, and upregulating BCL‐xL and COX2. In contrast to nuclear p21, cytoplasmic p21 enhances spheroid formation and stemness transcription factor CD133.

Inducing Risk Neutral Preferences with Binary Lotteries: A Reconsideration [PDF]
We evaluate the binary lottery procedure for inducing risk neutral behavior. We strip the experimental implementation down to bare bones, taking care to avoid any potentially confounding assumption about behavior having to be made.

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

Development of Risk-Taking Tendency Tool for High School Students [PDF]
Background: Adolescence is the age of increased sensation-seeking and risk-taking. To prevent such behaviors, the adolescent tendency to engage in high-risk behaviors must be measureable.

The noncoding region of the genome plays a key role in regulating gene expression, and mutations within these regions are capable of altering it. Researchers have identified multiple functional noncoding mutations associated with increased cancer risk in the genome of breast cancer patients.

The effectiveness of Stress inoculation training on increased Self-Assertion of the physically -motor handicapped girl Students of high schools in Isfahan in 1389 [PDF]
Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of Stress inoculation training on three different measures: the amount of Self-Assertion, the amount of non assertion Risk behavior and the degree of discomfort of physically-motor ...

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Next‐generation proteomics improves lung cancer risk prediction
This is one of very few studies that used prediagnostic blood samples from participants of two large population‐based cohorts. We identified, evaluated, and validated an innovative protein marker model that outperformed an established risk prediction model and criteria employed by low‐dose computed tomography in lung cancer screening trials.
