Risk management in megaprojects. [PDF]
Despite its high relevance to the success of megaprojects, risk management remains one of the least developed research issues. Risk management is a process composed of several phases.

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Measurement and Estimation of Credit Migration Matrices [PDF]
Credit migration matrices are cardinal inputs to many risk management applications. Their accurate estimation is therefore critical. We explore three approaches, cohort and two variants of duration—time homogeneous and non-homogeneous—and the resulting ...

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Orthogonal Methods for Generating Large Positive Semi-Definite Covariance Matrices [PDF]
It is a common problem in risk management today that risk measures and pricing models are being applied to a very large set of scenarios based on movements in all possible risk factors.

Portfolio risk and the quantum majorization of correlation matrices
Abstract We propose quantum majorization as a way of comparing and ranking correlation matrices, with the aim of assessing portfolio risk in a unified framework. Quantum majorization is a partial order in the space of correlation matrices, which are evaluated through their spectra.

We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Element Aggregation for Estimation of High-Dimensional Covariance Matrices
This study addresses the challenge of estimating high-dimensional covariance matrices in financial markets, where traditional sparsity assumptions often fail due to the interdependence of stock returns across sectors.
