Mutation of Brain Aromatase Impairs Behavior and Neuroplasticity in Adult Zebrafish

This study investigates the functional role of brain aromatase, encoded by the cyp19a1b gene, in zebrafish neurodevelopment and adult behavior. Using TALENs technology, we introduced a 10‐nucleotide deletion in exon 2, generating a zebrafish line that expresses a truncated aromatase protein.
