Post cardiotomy extracorporeal membrane oxygenation in pediatric patients: Results and neurodevelopmental outcomes

A retrospective study of 90 pediatric patients <17 years who required post cardiotomy ECMO runs. The population was divided into three groups (no weaning cardiopulmonary bypass [NW‐CPB], low cardiac output syndrome [LCOS], extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation [E‐CPR]). Overall mortality rate was 36%.
