Cutaneous Melanoma Drives Metabolic Changes in the Aged Bone Marrow Immune Microenvironment

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer, increasingly affects older adults. Our study reveals that melanoma induces changes in iron and lipid levels in the bone marrow, impacting immune cell populations and increasing susceptibility to ferroptosis.

Spatiotemporal variability of aerosol optical depth and climatic coupling over Jaipur city based on multi‐spectral satellite analysis

open access: yesRiver
Aerosol dynamics in semi‐arid cities are key to understanding air quality and climate interactions. This study examines the spatiotemporal variability of Aerosol Optical Depth (AOD) over Jaipur, India, from 2018 to 2024 using MODIS observations at 470 ...

Ecology of common bully (Gobiomorphus cotidianus) in the Tarawera and Rangitaiki rivers: isolation by inland distance or anthropogenic discharge? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Previous research has identified distinct genetic, life-history and reproductive differences between populations of common bully (Gobiomorphus cotidianus) upstream and downstream of a pulp and paper mill outfall on the Tarawera River in the Bay of Plenty,

Identifying High‐Impact Solutions to Address Racial and Ethnic Health Disparities in Lupus: A Consensus‐Based Approach

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective We conducted formative research aimed at identifying solutions that address inequitable health outcomes in lupus due to adverse social determinants of health (SDoH). Methods We conducted a search for keywords, which provided insights into potential solutions and initiatives underway. An advisory panel of lupus experts iteratively reviewed the

Source analysis of nitrate pollution in a typical tributary of the upper Yellow River using a combined approach of stable isotopes and DOM fluorescence characteristics

open access: yesRiver
Identifying the sources and characteristics of water pollution is essential for the protection and management of water environments. Nitrate (NO3−) is a key pollutant affecting water quality in the Qingshui River, a typical semi‐arid tributary in the ...

Trace Nickel Activated Biphasic Core‐CuOii/Shell‐CuOi Secondary Microspheres Enable Room Temperature Parts‐Per‐Trillion‐Level NO2 Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An idea of designing novel sensors is proposed by creating appropriate Schottky barriers and vacancies between isomorphous Core‐CuOii/ Shell‐CuOi secondary microspheres and enhancing catalytic and spill‐over effects, and electronegativity via spontaneous biphasic separation, self‐assembly, and trace‐Ni‐doping.

Seasonal dynamics and environmental drivers of dissolved organic matter distribution in heterogeneous river terrains

open access: yesRiver
Dissolved organic matter (DOM) in rivers plays a key role in the global carbon cycle and aquatic ecosystems, yet its spatiotemporal dynamics across complex terrains remains inadequately characterized.

In Situ Constructed Magnetic Core‐Shell Hydrogen‐Bonded Organic Framework‐on‐Metal–Organic Framework Structure: an Efficient Catalyst for Peroxymonosulfate Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, a magnetic core‐shell catalyst (HOF‐on‐Fe3O4/ZIF‐67) is successfully synthesized, consisting of a metal–organic framework (ZIF‐67) with magnetic Fe3O4 as the core and a porous hydrogen‐bonded organic framework (HOF) as the shell. The catalyst efficiently activated peroxymonosulfate, resulting in rapid and effective removal of water ...
