In spring, the river ice melts to a certain extent and cracks to form drift ice and impact force on the bridge abutments; the river ice, due to the impact of ablation, has an internal formation of different porosities, and the level of porosity affects ...

River Ice Data Instrumentation [PDF]
Abstract : Ice processes are capable of causing damage to Corps of Engineers flood control, water control, and navigation projects each year. Monitoring of ice and other physical parameters is done by instrumentation in some instances but is usually done manually.

ATF4‐mediated stress response as a therapeutic vulnerability in chordoma
We screened 5 chordoma cell lines against 100+ inhibitors of epigenetic and metabolic pathways and kinases and identified halofuginone, a tRNA synthetase inhibitor. Mechanistically halofuginone induces an integrated stress response, with eIF2alpha phosphorylation, activation of ATF4 and its target genes CHOP, ASNS, INHBE leading to cell death ...

Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

Freshwater balance and the sources of deep and bottom waters in the Arctic Ocean inferred from the distribution of H218O [PDF]
Data from sections across the Eurasian Basin of the Arctic Ocean occupied in 1987 and 1991 are used to derive information on the freshwater balance of the Arctic Ocean and on sources of the deep waters of the Nansen, Amundsen and Makarov basins.

Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.
