Inhaled Angiopoietin‐Like 4 Antisense Oligonucleotide Therapy for Lung Injury and Fibrosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inhaled antisense oligonucleotides targeting ANGPTL4 attenuate inflammation, preserve barrier integrity, and reduce fibrosis in both infectious and sterile lung injury models. Integrated transcriptomic analysis reveals a conserved ANGPTL4‐regulated gene network coordinating hypoxic, inflammatory, apoptotic, and stress‐response pathways.

Quaternary rupture of a crustal fault beneath Victoria, British Columbia, Canada [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The seismic potential of crustal faults within the forearc of the northern Cascadia subduction zone in British Columbia has remained elusive, despite the recognition of recent seismic activity on nearby fault systems within the Juan de Fuca Strait.

Spatiotemporal Sequential Delivery of Chidamide Regulates Macrophage Reprogramming in Lymphoma Microenvironment Through HDACs‐STAT3 Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Our study identifies the HDACs‐STAT3 axis as key regulator for M2 macrophage accumulation in DLBCL. We developed Chid@M2pep‐EVs/TP, a pH‐responsive drug delivery system for M2 macrophage specific chidamide administration. By coupling M2‐targeted chidamide with EVs‐mediated delivery, this system reprograms M2 to M1 via HDAC inhibition and STAT3 ...

Mineral precipitation in north slope aufeis [PDF]

open access: yes
The Canning and Shaviovik river aufeis fields were studied on the ground and with aircraft data. Powdered calcium carbonate (CaCO3) patches, a few cm in thickness, were found in discrete locations on both aufeis fields.

Permafrost hydrology in changing climatic conditions: seasonal variability of stable isotope composition in rivers in discontinuous permafrost [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Role of changing climatic conditions on permafrost degradation and hydrology was investigated in the transition zone between the tundra and forest ecotones at the boundary of continuous and discontinuous permafrost of the lower Yenisei River.

Strawberry Notch 1 Acts as a Transcriptional Regulator Driving Oncogenic Programs in Liver Carcinogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reports that SBNO1 protein is upregulated in several cancer entities. SBNO1 protein interacts with the basal transcription factor TFIID via TAF4, enabling its recruitment to transcription start sites and the modulation of target gene expression.

The Dynamic Monitoring of River-Ice Thickness on the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau: Four-Dimensional Structure-from-Motion Photogrammetry

open access: yesRemote Sensing
River-ice, a significant element of the cryosphere, plays a crucial role in hydrological processes. However, the effectiveness of current river-ice monitoring techniques on the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau is limited due to the complex interplay of ...

The Influence Of The Hydraulic Exchange Relations In The Evolution Of Ice Jam Phenomena On Bistriţa River In The Area Between Dorna Arini (Suceava County) And Borca (Neamţ County)

open access: yesPresent Environment and Sustainable Development, 2015
The presence on Bistriţa River, in identical climatic conditions, of sectors with well-developed ice formations in the immediate vicinity of river sectors lacking or with weakly developed such formations demonstrates the existence of other factors beside

Neoglacial cooling culminates in rapid sea ice oscillations in eastern Fram Strait [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
EGU2011-407 The spatial and temporal distribution of sea ice in the subpolar North Atlantic is mainly controlled by the advection of warm Atlantic Water via the Norwegian and West Spitsbergen Current in eastern Fram Strait.
