Bell’s palsy merupakan gangguan saraf akut pada wajah, yang berdampak pada kelemahan wajah seperti sulit mengecap, sulit menutup mata hingga kehilangan kemampuan pengecapan. Penelitian berbasis populasi di Korea melaporkan bahwa Bell’s palsy lebih banyak terjadi pada pasien dengan jenis kelamin laki-laki dibandingkan pada pasien perempuan.
