Electrophoretic patterns of proteinuria in dogs with Cushing's syndrome

open access: yesJournal of Small Animal Practice, Volume 67, Issue 3, Page 227-234, March 2026.
Objectives To describe the electrophoretic pattern of proteinuria in dogs with naturally occurring Cushing's syndrome. We hypothesised that urine protein electrophoresis in dogs with spontaneous Cushing's syndrome will reveal glomerular proteinuria. We also hypothesised that the severity of proteinuria would decrease during treatment with trilostane ...

Maternal Folic Acid Supplement Use, Folate Intake, and Preterm Birth Among Infants With Spina Bifida

open access: yesBirth Defects Research, Volume 117, Issue 12, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Background We sought to assess the extent to which folic acid supplementation and dietary folate intake are associated with preterm delivery among infants with spina bifida. Methods We conducted a retrospective population‐based study using the National Birth Defects Prevention Study (NBDPS; 1999–2011) and the Birth Defects Study To Evaluate ...

Spatially Resolved Profiling of Compartmentalized Muscle and Brain Inflammation

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Immunology, Volume 55, Issue 12, December 2025.
This review summarizes emerging spatially resolved multi‐omics approaches revealing organized cell–cell interactions in skeletal muscle and brain inflammation. These tools uncover radiating molecular programs and niche‐specific immunopathology that shape cellular reactivity and vulnerability.

Evaluation of Inter-Specific Hybrid of P. atlantica and P. vera L. cv. ‘Badami - Riz-e-Zarand’ as Pistachio rootstock to Salinity Stress According to Some Growth Indices and Eco-physiological and Biochemical Parameters [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Stress Physiology & Biochemistry, 2014
In order to evaluate the inter-specific hybrid of P. atlantica Desf. and P. vera L. cv. ‘Badami- Riz-e- Zarand’ to salinity stress, a factorial experiment was conducted based on completely randomized design with 0, 60 and 120 mM of salinity levels of ...

Searching for a Putative Mechanism of RIZ2 Tumor-Promoting Function in Cancer Models

open access: yesFrontiers in Oncology, 2021
Positive Regulatory Domain (PRDM) gene family members commonly express two main molecular variants, the PR-plus isoform usually acting as tumor suppressor and the PR-minus one functioning as oncogene. Accordingly, PRDM2/RIZ encodes for RIZ1 (PR-plus) and

Minimum Dietary Diversity and Its Associated Factors Among Pregnant Mothers in Bure District Public Health Facility, North West Ethiopia

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 13, Issue 12, December 2025.
Minimum dietary diversity was met by only 52.5% of the 418 pregnant women assessed in Bure district, Ethiopia. Adequate diversity was more common among older women (≥ 34 years), while low education, larger family size, divorce, certain occupations, and female‐headed households were associated with poorer intake.

High-power shortwave DRM transmitter in solid-state technology

open access: yesAutomatika, 2018
Design of high-power shortwave broadcast transmitters is one among the rare areas in the field of radiofrequency (RF) electronics, where the electron tube, as the main element for amplification of RF signal, is still in active use.

Equine Asthma Is Characterised by Severity‐Dependent Correlations Between Blood Neutrophil Cholesterol Content and NET Formation

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Immunology, Volume 55, Issue 10, October 2025.
Analysis of BALF and blood of asthmatic horses revealed local and systemic immunological variations related to NET formation and cholesterol homeostasis. Higher NET formation, lower cellular cholesterol and dysregulated NET regulators (e.g., eCATH, DNase, ANCAs) were associated with clinical disease severity.
