Mitigation of WLAN / RLAN interference in meteorological radar using wavelet filtering

2017 XVII Workshop on Information Processing and Control (RPIC), 2017
In this paper we present a filter based on discrete wavelet transform along with the vision of multi-resolution analysis to mitigate interference noise that appears in raw data of meteorological radars. These interferences are mainly caused by C-Band RLAN/WLAN communications systems compliant with IEEE 802.11 standard.

Elimination of RLAN interference on weather radars by channel allocation in 5 GHz band

2009 International Conference on Ultra Modern Telecommunications & Workshops, 2009
Weather radars are used for short term meteorological prediction all over the world. Radars in 5GHz band can be jammed by RLAN devices (e.g. Wi-Fi routers). We introduce the background of this problem, and analyze the weakness of the current solution (DFS - Dynamic Frequency Selection).
