Cluster Analysis of Circular Economy and Industrial Symbiosis Practices and Their Impact on Sustainability Performance in the Plastics Industry

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study examines how plastics manufacturing firms can be classified according to their level of implementation of circular economy (CE) and industrial symbiosis (IS) practices and how such adoption influences sustainability performance. Using data from plastics manufacturing firms, we integrate cluster analysis with partial least squares ...

A geometric modelling of nonlinear RLC networks [PDF]

open access: yesPAMM, 2006
AbstractA new approach to nonlinear RLC circuits, which is based on the geometric Birkhoffian formalism, is described in this note. The configuration space and a special Pfaffian form, called Birkhoffian, are obtained from the constitutive relations of the involved resistors, inductors and capacitors and from Kirchhoff's laws. No assumptions are placed

A Code‐Invariant QSG–VGA Co‐Design Methodology for Compact CMOS Vector‐Sum Phase Shifters

open access: yesInternational Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, EarlyView.
A circuit‐level co‐design methodology for compact vector‐sum phase shifters is presented, combining a code‐invariant common‐gate variable‐gain amplifier (VGA) with a resistorless quadrature signal generator (QSG). By maintaining an almost constant input resistance, explicit resistors are eliminated from the QSG.

Recent advances in multifunctional soft robots: A materials–structures–systems co‐design perspective for synergistic integration

open access: yesFlexMat, EarlyView.
Abstract Soft robots, engineered from highly compliant materials, offer superior adaptability and safety in unstructured environments compared to their rigid counterparts. Recent advancements, fueled by bio‐inspiration and material programmability, have led to the rapid co‐evolution of their core modules: actuation, sensing, protection, energy, and ...

Spikes as perturbations of resonant neural circuits: an RLC framework with testable predictions

open access: yesFrontiers in Computational Neuroscience
Computational neuron models commonly reduce subthreshold membrane dynamics to a leaky RC integrator, confining computation to the spike and treating the inter-spike trajectory as passive decay.

Revisiting Inductively Coupled Wireless Coils in MRI: Mitigating Over‐Coupling With Preamplifiers

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Inductively coupled coils enhance local MRI sensitivity, yet strong coupling with nearby primary coils typically causes resonance splitting and impedance mismatch, which are traditionally considered detrimental. This work investigates why inductively coupled coils can still function effectively even in the presence of severe coupling ...
