The power of many: when genetics met yeasts and high‐throughput

open access: yesBiological Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In recent years, complex technological capabilities have evolved, driven by the need to solve complex and integrative biological questions through global analyses. New equipment allows the scaling up and automation of processes which previously were carried out on a very limited scale.

Development and validation of Restless Legs Syndrome Diary for the assessment of severity and course of symptoms – A cross-sectional study

open access: yesIndian Journal of Psychiatry
Background: The clinical course and severity of restless legs syndrome (RLS) are variable. Existing questionnaires measure the severity of RLS based on recall. One possible solution could be the daily charting of symptoms in a diary. Aim: Development and

Restless legs syndrome in patients with distal diabetic polyneuropathy [PDF]

open access: yesSrpski Arhiv za Celokupno Lekarstvo, 2018
Introduction/Objective. An association between restless legs syndrome (RLS) and etiologically different polyneuropathies is well established. However, the investigations about the prevalence of RLS in diabetic polyneuropathy (DP) have led to controversy.

Advances in Triboelectric Nanogenerators With Rotating Structure

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
The rotating TENG has been widely studied for its superiorities of simple structure, high efficiency, and stable output. This review introduced the four different principles of rotating TENG and offered a thorough summary for performance and application research through three‐level classification. Importantly, the current existing problems, challenges,

Linear Time Feature Selection for Regularized Least-Squares [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We propose a novel algorithm for greedy forward feature selection for regularized least-squares (RLS) regression and classification, also known as the least-squares support vector machine or ridge regression.

Shedding Light on Synthetic Autocatalysis: From Conventional Closed‐Shell Chemistries to Overlooked Open‐Shell Occurrences

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Why add another catalyst when the product itself holds the power to catalyze its own formation? Autocatalysis in synthetic chemistry enhances reaction efficiency and uncovers novel catalytic behavior across both closed‐shell and open‐shell systems, expanding reactivity and enabling innovative design strategies.

Role of vitamins in the pathogenesis and treatment of restless leg syndrome: A systematic review and meta-analysis.

open access: yesPLoS ONE
We performed a meta-analysis to assess the role of vitamins in the possible pathogenesis and treatment of RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome). A systematic search of the PubMed, Cochrane, Embase, and Web of Science databases was conducted.

Diagnostic Concordance of Two‐ and Three‐Gene SARS‐CoV‐2 Molecular Assays in Cameroon: Implications for Efficient Pandemic Response in Low‐ and Middle‐Income Countries

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, EarlyView.
This study assessed the interoperability of DaAn Gene, ThermoFisher, and GeneXpert assays used for COVID‐19 testing in Cameroon. GeneXpert showed higher diagnostic performance over ThermoFisher, with all assays having excellent agreement at high viral loads (CT < 20).
