RMP: fault-tolerant group communication

IEEE Micro, 1996
Based on a logical token ring, this communication protocol ensures total message ordering and atomic delivery, so all group members maintain an identical view of ordered events. RMP (Reliable Multicast Protocol) is an efficient multicast protocol for general distributed applications based on the logical token ring approach.

Design and implementation of RMP

ACM SIGMOD Record, 1998
This paper briefly describes an approach to business-to-business Internet commerce following a n-suppliers:m-customers scenario in order to provide for a virtual market place on the Internet. The RMP project, partially funded by the European Commission, realizes such a e-commerce system in the domain of small and medium-sized companies in rural areas ...

RMP-7

CNS Drugs, 1997
The chemotherapy of tumours located in the brain is far from satisfactory, with very poor response rates even with tumour types known to be sensitive when they occur extracranially. The brain is protected by the blood-brain barrier, which consists of tight capillary endothelial cell junctions. As a result, many drugs cannot penetrate into the tumour to

Encoder-decoder network with RMP for tongue segmentation

Medical & Biological Engineering & Computing, 2023
Tongue and its movements can be used for several medical-related tasks, such as identifying a disease and tracking a rehabilitation. To be able to focus on a tongue region, the tongue segmentation is needed to compute a region of interest for a further analysis. This paper proposes an encoder-decoder CNN-based architecture for segmenting a tongue in an

Verifications of RMP: an efficient reliable multicast protocol

Proceedings Second International Symposium on Parallel Architectures, Algorithms, and Networks (I-SPAN'96), 2002
This paper presents a novel reliable group multicast based on a logical-clock token ring approach. The algorithms are simple and can guarantee the total ordering and atomicity of multicast messages and is highly efficient. The correctness of the algorithms has been given an terms of the operational processes in a group.

PSM/RMP Auditing Handbook

1999
This book provides facility managers with an easy-to-use annotated guide to completing a Process Safety Management/Risk Management Planning (PSM/RMP) audit and determining compliance. Using this reference, you'll learn how to evaluate current regulatory thinking and interpretations and develop a compliant and functioning PSM/RMP program.

A Segway RMP-based robotic transport system

SPIE Proceedings, 2004
In the area of logistics, there currently is a capability gap between the one-ton Army robotic Multifunction Utility/Logistics and Equipment (MULE) vehicle and a soldier’s backpack. The Unmanned Systems Branch at Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWAR Systems Center, or SSC), San Diego, with the assistance of a group of interns from nearby High

Application to Mobile Robot RMP

2015
In this chapter, the application of the ZD approach is further investigated to the velocity-level RMP of mobile redundant robot manipulators. That is, by introducing three different ZFs and by exploiting the ZD design formula, we propose, develop, and investigate a velocity-level RMP performance index.

Making RMP hazard assessment meaningful

Process Safety Progress, 1998
AbstractThe Brazoria County Petrochemical Council, 13 companies that are working together to enhance relations between industry and the community, united in a joint effort at complying with the EPA's Risk Management Program. One of the significant issues the group had to address was the need to develop meaningful hazard assessment for presentation to ...

Reliable multicast protocol by sequence (RMPS)

IEEE VTS 53rd Vehicular Technology Conference, Spring 2001. Proceedings (Cat. No.01CH37202), 2002
This paper represents reliable multicast protocol by sequence (RMPS) that guarantees reliability for a loss packet. As RMPS is hierarchical structure that consists of several local groups. It minimizes the recovery delay for a loss packet. As the NACK scheme immediately executes an error recovery, RMPS makes use of the method based on the NACK for ...
