Indian experiences with Q and RMR systems
Tunnelling and Underground Space Technology, 1995This paper considers the use of Q and RMR systems on rock tunnels and coal mine roadways in India and suggests some modifications. It is suggested that the Q system is unsafe for large tunnels in squeezing ground conditions and a new correlation is developed considering tunnel depth, tunnel radius, tunnel closure and rock mass number.

RMR Variability in Strength Athletes
This study quantified intra-individual variability in RMR and established least significant change (LSC) thresholds in strength-trained athletes. A repeated-measures study was conducted on 8 male and 5 female athletes trained in strength sports (powerlifting, Olympic weightlifting, bodybuilding).Ashton, Luke, Buechel, Claire

Constant RMR solutions to reader writer synchronization
Proceedings of the 29th ACM SIGACT-SIGOPS symposium on Principles of distributed computing, 2010We study Reader-Writer Exclusion [1], a well-known variant of the Mutual Exclusion problem [2] where processes are divided into two classes - readers and writers - and multiple readers can be in the Critical Section (CS) at the same time, although no process may be in the CS at the same time as a writer.

RMR and RMR ratio are not related to energy availability in elite and pre-elite athletes
Applied Physiology, Nutrition, and MetabolismLow energy availability (LEA), defined as an imbalance between dietary intake and exercise energy expenditure, has been associated with physiological and psychological dysfunction in athletes. The resting metabolic rate ratio (RMRratio), calculated as measured RMR divided by predicted RMR, is increasingly used as a surrogate marker for chronic energy ...

Combining the RMR, Q, and RMi classification systems
Tunnelling and Underground Space Technology, 2009The main rockmass classification systems make use of similar rockmass parameters. Therefore, the input parameters in three of the systems can be combined into a set of common parameter tables. This enables the ground quality to be found directly in these systems from characterization of only one set of observations.
