Squares: A Fast Counter-Based RNG
In this article, we propose a new counter-based implementation of John von Neumann's middle-square random number generator (RNG). Several rounds of squaring are applied to a counter to produce a random output. We discovered that four rounds are sufficient to provide satisfactory data. Two versions of the RNG are presented, a 4-round version with 32-bit

A multi-levels RNG permutation

The paper proposes a new general method for producing a multilevel permutation functioning as an m-tree traversal. It is composed of two basic steps: a random number generator of period length equal m to determine which child to traverse, and recursive permutation in which permutated the subtree if found.

RNG: Relightable Neural Gaussians
3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) has shown impressive results for the novel view synthesis task, where lighting is assumed to be fixed. However, creating relightable 3D assets, especially for objects with ill-defined shapes (fur, fabric, etc.), remains a challenging task.

On the Longest RNG Edge of Wireless Ad Hoc Networks [PDF]
Relative neighborhood graph (RNG) has been widely used in topology control and geographic routing in wireless ad hoc networks. Its maximum edge length is the minimum requirement on the maximum transmission radius by those applications of RNG. In this paper, we derive the precise asymptotic probability distribution of the maximum edge length of the RNG

The technical potential of renewable natural gas (RNG) in the United States, and the economic potential of methanation-derived RNG in Texas [PDF]
textRenewable Natural Gas (RNG) is a low-carbon fuel source that is derived from the anaerobic digestion (AD) or thermal gasification (TG) of biomass, or produced using renewable electricity through the methanation of carbon dioxide.
