Road and linear structure automatic extraction
SPIE Proceedings, 2007In this paper, by analyzing the basic road features in remote sensing images, the model of road extraction is discussed. The popular methods of road extraction and their advantages and disadvantages are generalized. The recent progress and results of our research group at relative aspects are introduced. Junction extraction on road masks by pruned skeletons

Road extraction from SAR images by using a graphical sketch of road
SPIE Proceedings, 2003The subject of this communication is the detection of roads on SAR images starting from a user-drawn graphical sketch. This sketch is considered as a road model, and the main contribution of this communication is to incorporate this model in a yet-existing blind road detection method to improve the quality and reliability of the detection.
