Smart Face Masks as Wearable Respiratory Sensors: A Review of Sensor Technologies, Materials, and Future Directions

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This review highlights recent advances in smart face masks that actively monitor breathing. By integrating humidity, gas, temperature, pressure, strain, and triboelectric sensors, these masks track key respiratory parameters in real time. The article summarizes sensor mechanisms, compares performance across studies, and discusses challenges and future ...

Mapping Nanoscale Protein‐Corona Kinetics of DoE‐Optimized Perfluorocarbon Encapsulated‐PLGA Nanoparticles by In Situ, Time‐Resolved Synchrotron SAXS

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A two‐phase workflow (OFAT screening followed by central composite design) maps how processing variables tune PFCE‐PLGA nanoparticle size, dispersity, surface charge, loading, and 19F‐MRI signal. In situ, time‐resolved synchrotron SAXS tracks albumin‐corona growth on intact dispersions and reveals PFCE‐dependent adsorption pathways.

Modeling of energy dissipation processes in a pavement – vehicle system

open access: yesИнженерно-строительный журнал, 2015
The law of conservation of energy for a ‘pavement – vehicle’ system manifests itself primarily in the fact that for any temperature and operating conditions of a road asphalt concrete pavement the potential energy of gravity and the kinetic energy of a ...

Model‐Driven Optimization of Subcutaneous Polymer Prodrugs Achieves Cancer Remission in Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) model was developed to evaluate multiple dosing regimens for subcutaneously administered water‐soluble polymer prodrug for cancer therapy. The model enabled prediction of in vivo performance and contributed to the optimization of anticancer efficacy.

A Bayesian decision support system for optimizing pavement management programs

open access: yesHeliyon
Over time, the pavement deteriorates due to traffic and the environment, resulting in poor riding quality and structural inadequacies. Evaluating pavement condition over time is thus a critical component of any pavement management system (PMS) to extend ...

Perbandingan Metode Bina Marga dan Metode PCI (Pavement Condition Index) dalam Penilaian Kondisi Perkerasan Jalan (Studi Kasus : Simpang Lago - Simpang Buatan) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
There are methods that can be used to evaluate pavement conditions, such as Bina Marga and PCI (Pavement Condition Index) methods. In the Bina Marga method, the determination of road condition values are done by summing numbers and values of damage ...
