Additive manufacturing technologies like laser powder‐bed fusion offer great design freedom and individualization of products down to a batch size of one. However, parts fabricated with this technology suffer from poor quality. Acoustic assistance during the build process can minimize these drawbacks.

Road Pricing and Public Transport [PDF]
Substantial benefits may arise from road pricing through its effects on the speed and service frequency of public transport. These effects are examined using a stylized model of local bus transport in a city center, a model requiring only a few parameters to obtain quantitative estimates.

Development of Aluminum Scandium Alloys for Hydrogen Storage Valves
Different aluminum alloy series and various aluminum‐scandium alloys with differing Sc and Zr levels are evaluated for use in hydrogen storage valve production. The alloys undergo hardness testing, optical microscopy, and tensile strength analysis, with hardening behavior studied under varying conditions.

Antimicrobial Titanium–Copper Alloys: The Role of Microstructure in Arc‐Melted Compositions
Copper‐containing titanium alloys show promise in combating orthopedic implant infections. This study explores the influence of heat treatment on Ti‐11.5Cu and Ti‐33Cu alloys, revealing that larger Ti2Cu precipitates (≈5 μm) enhance antimicrobial efficacy through increased surface contact. Results suggest contact sterilization is the primary mechanism,
