We report a polymer‐chain insertion strategy to fabricate pore‐threaded MOF thin films with precisely tuned surface chemistry and wettability. Grafting n‐alkane chains into the pillared layer Cu2(bdc)2(dabco) MOF thin film's vertical nanochannels enhances water stability, and induces hydrophobicity and lubricant‐free, solid‐like slippery behavior ...

Self‐Hybridized Exciton‐Polariton Photodetectors From Layered Metal‐Organic Chalcogenolates
Self‐hybridized exciton‐polariton photodetectors are demonstrated using high refractive index mithrene, eliminating the need for top mirrors. This simplified architecture enables tunable sub‐bandgap photodetection via lower exciton‐polariton states and enhanced carrier transport through ultrafast polariton group velocities.

Roadway Alignments as Assets: Evaluating Alternatives for Valuing Major Highway Corridor Rights of Way Final Report December 2010 Sponsored [PDF]
In most highway asset management exercises, real estate used in alignments is considered to be an asset class that does not depreciate. Although the treatment of right of way assets as non-depreciable real property may be appropriate as an accounting ...

Gold bipyramids can act as efficient plasmonic nanoheaters, but they often reshape during laser heating. This study shows that oxygen nanobubbles drive oxidative etching and that surface ligands control stability. CTAB‐ and citrate‐coated particles blunt and lose optical performance, whereas polystyrene sulfonate preserves shape and heating by ...
