Deformation and support of roadways subjected to abnormal stresses
AbstractIn situ stresses, including both magnitude and orientation, play a major role in the stability of underground coal mine roadways. The orientation of the maximum horizontal stress have a significant impact on roadway stability, especially when roadway is driven perpendicular to the maximum horizontal stress direction.

We estimated seasonal space use, cover selection, and resource selection; evaluated gene flow and potential genetic barriers; and assessed cause‐specific survival rates and reproduction of radiomarked gray foxes in Indiana, USA. Our results provide evidence that gray foxes in Indiana are an edge species with relatively large home ranges, relatively low

Research on supporting technology of roadway passing goaf
In order to study the deformation control of the surrounding rock under the broken surrounding rock in the mined-out area, a semicircular arch support technology of “U-shaped shed + grouting” was proposed. Based on the basic mechanical properties of the arch, a mechanical model of the bearing capacity of the semicircular arch roadway was constructed to

Fine‐scale spatial variation in eastern grey squirrel melanism across a complex urban landscape
By sampling 197 parks, the study demonstrates how natural geography creates divergence within cities. The findings reveal that the St. Lawrence River and its tributaries act as barriers, disrupting urban melanism clines in grey squirrels. Ultimately, the research indicates that natural features still dictate evolutionary rules in anthropogenic ...

Racial Equity Impact Assessments as Tools for Advancing Population Health and Equity in Local Policy
Policy Points Racial equity impact assessments (REIAs) provide policymakers with systematic evidence on how proposed legislation may affect racial equity and subsequently shape structural determinants of health. Across 409 bill‐level equity impact ratings derived from 296 final REIAs from 2021 to 2024, nearly half of REIAs (46%) indicated that proposed
