Upcycling of poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) through ammonolysis is pursued. Model studies on bis(2‐hydroxyethyl) terephthalate (BHET) reacting with ammonia in excess ethylene glycol (EG) to form terephthalamide (TPD) are presented. Sequential ester conversion is characterized by the pseudo reaction rate constants of = 1.02±0.09 h‐1 and = 0.44±0.08 ...

Electrical Conductivities and Low Frequency Opacities in the Warm Dense Matter Regime
ABSTRACT In this article, we examine different approaches for calculating low frequency opacities in the warm dense matter regime. The relevance of the average‐atom approximation and of different models for calculating opacities, such as the Ziman or Ziman–Evans models is discussed and the results compared to ab initio simulations.

Waxy‐ or putty‐like materials has emerged as a novel drug preparation for synthetic cannabinoids and other drugs in UK prisons. An in vitro CB1 bioassay was used to evaluate the CB1 activating potential of MDMB‐INACA and extracts from eight seized samples. MDMB‐INACA had moderate efficacy but low potency at CB1.

Lineage labeling with zebrafish hand2 Cre and CreERT2 recombinase CRISPR knock‐ins
Abstract Background The ability to generate endogenous Cre recombinase drivers using CRISPR‐Cas9 knock‐in technology allows lineage tracing, cell type‐specific gene studies, and in vivo validation of inferred developmental trajectories from phenotypic and gene expression analyses. This report describes endogenous zebrafish hand2 Cre and CreERT2 drivers

Tracing the Path of Knowledge on “Environmental Governance Processes” for Theory‐Building
ABSTRACT The vast range of environmental governance case studies makes one thing clear: social processes are at the heart of environmental problems—and solutions. But fragmentation in how different contributions define and study environmental governance processes prevents us from drawing lessons from the field.

Considerations for drug trials in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
Abstract Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is a heterogeneous condition with potentially serious manifestations. Management has traditionally comprised therapies to palliate symptoms and implantable cardioverter‐defibrillators to prevent sudden cardiac death. The need for disease‐modifying therapies has been recognized for decades.

Summary of the study design and key findings. The (+) and (−) signs mean that the variable has a positive or a negative association with growth differentiation factor‐15 (GDF‐15) levels in the fully adjusted model (age, gender, current smoker, body mass index, total cholesterol, systolic blood pressure and N‐terminal pro‐B‐type natriuretic peptide ...
