Insights into Siglec‐7 Binding to Gangliosides: NMR Protein Assignment and the Impact of Ligand Flexibility

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The molecular recognition of the sugar moiety of GD3 and Gb3 (globotriaosylceramide) derivatives by Siglec‐7 has been thoroughly studied offering insights for cancer diagnostics and therapies. A combination of structural biology techniques, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, physicochemical analysis, and in silico methods suggested that ...

The heat equation with nonlinear generalized Robin boundary conditions

open access: yesJournal of Differential Equations, 2009
AbstractLet Ω⊂RN be a bounded domain and let μ be an admissible measure on ∂Ω. We show in the first part that if Ω has the H1-extension property, then a realization of the Laplace operator with generalized nonlinear Robin boundary conditions, formally given by ∂u∂νdσ+β(x,u)dμ=0 on ∂Ω, generates a strongly continuous nonlinear submarkovian semigroup SB=(

Ultralow Overpotential in Rechargeable Li–CO2 Batteries Enabled by Caesium Phosphomolybdate as an Effective Redox Catalyst

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study represents the first application of a Keggin‐type polyoxometalate, caesium phosphomolybdate (CPM), as a bifunctional redox catalyst for rechargeable Li–CO2 batteries. CPM significantly reduced the potential gap between discharge and charge reactions to 0.67 V, outperforming most reported catalysts. It also exhibited a high discharge capacity

ULF Multi‐Key Tunable Magnetoelectric Antenna Array with Enhanced Communication Data Rate

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents a reconfigurable magnetoelectric antenna with a dual‐asymmetric cantilever structure. By adjusting its fixed boundary conditions, the antenna's resonant frequency is tunable over a 500 Hz range within the ultra‐low‐frequency (ULF) band.

On an exterior Laplace equation problem with Robin boundary condition

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1991
AbstractAn exterior problem for Laplace's equation in R3 with a Robin boundary condition is investigated. The particular form of the assumed boundary condition can be considered to be a perturbation of a Dirichlet boundary condition. The convergence of the solution to the Robin problem to that of the corresponding Dirichlet problem is proven for ...
