Boundary conditions in quantum mechanics on the discretized half-line

open access: yes, 2012
We investigate nonrelativistic quantum mechanics on the discretized half-line, constructing a one-parameter family of Hamiltonians that are analogous to the Robin family of boundary conditions in continuum half-line quantum mechanics.

Temperature‐Dependent Optical Properties of CsCu2I3 Perovskites

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This work explores the temperature‐dependent optical properties of CsCu₂I₃ nanocrystals using transmittance and photoluminescence techniques. Resonant excitation conditions and energy level modeling reveal critical insights into the self‐trapped exciton emission mechanism.

A Lyapunov-Type Inequality for a Fractional Differential Equation under a Robin Boundary Condition

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2015
We establish a new Lyapunov-type inequality for a class of fractional differential equations under Robin boundary conditions. The obtained inequality is used to obtain an interval where a linear combination of certain Mittag-Leffler functions has no real

Robin-to-Robin Maps and Krein-Type Resolvent Formulas for Schrödinger Operators on Bounded Lipschitz Domains [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2008
We study Robin-to-Robin maps, and Krein-type resolvent formulas for Schr\"odinger operators on bounded Lipschitz domains in $\bbR^n$, $n\ge 2$, with generalized Robin boundary conditions.

Casimir forces between arbitrary compact objects: Scalar and electromagnetic field

open access: yes, 2007
We develop an exact method for computing the Casimir energy between arbitrary compact objects, both with boundary conditions for a scalar field and dielectrics or perfect conductors for the electromagnetic field.

Unveiling Ultrafast Spin‐Valley Dynamics and Phonon‐Mediated Charge Transfer in MoSe2/WSe2 Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 13, Issue 8, March 13, 2025.
This study reveals the potential to manipulate spin‐valley polarization dynamics in MoSe2/WSe2 heterostructures by quantifying different scattering processes following selective photoexcitation. The results show that these heterostructures enable ultrafast valley‐selective charge transfer, with phonon scattering playing a significant role in the ...

Rate of convergence of attractors of reaction-diffusion equations with nonlinear boundary conditions

open access: yes, 2020
This paper we study the rate of convergence of the asymptotic dynamics of reaction-diffusion equations with nonlinear Robin boundary conditions. We show how the rate of convergence of the global attractors can be affected by the variation of the ...

Mechanoluminescence of Bi‐Activated NaYGeO4 Polycrystals and 3D Printed Scaffolds in the NUV/Blue and NIR Spectral Range

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
NUV/Blue and NIR emitting mechanoluminescent (ML) materials based on a Bi‐doped germanate compound (NYGOBx) are reported. 3D‐printing is used to fabricate complex scaffold devices from this material, suggested for use as mechanically‐activated light sources for functional illumination.

New integrable boundary conditions for the Ablowitz–Ladik model: From Hamiltonian formalism to nonlinear mirror image method

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2019
Using Sklyanin's classical theory of integrable boundary conditions, we use the Hamiltonian approach to derive new integrable boundary conditions for the Ablowitz–Ladik model on the finite and half infinite lattice.

Electro‐Thermal Response of Thin Film Heaters Based on Embedded Periodic Metallic Mesh

open access: yesAdvanced Theory and Simulations, EarlyView.
“This study systematically investigates the effect of periodic metallic mesh topology on electrical and electro‐thermal behaviours of thin thermal heaters. The derived closed‐form expressions capture the dependence of sheet resistance on design parameters, providing a crucial tool for rapidly exploring a vast design space and accelerating design and ...
