Robin boundary-value problems for quasilinear elliptic equations with subcritical and critical nonlinearities

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2016
By using variational methods we study the existence of positive solutions for a class of quasilinear elliptic problems with Robin boundary conditions.

A Lyapunov-Type Inequality for a Fractional Differential Equation under a Robin Boundary Condition

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2015
We establish a new Lyapunov-type inequality for a class of fractional differential equations under Robin boundary conditions. The obtained inequality is used to obtain an interval where a linear combination of certain Mittag-Leffler functions has no real

A Virtual Clinical Trial of Psychedelics to Treat Patients With Disorders of Consciousness

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Disorders of consciousness after severe brain injury are marked by reduced complexity of brain activity and limited treatment options. Using personalized whole‐brain models, this study shows that simulated lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) and psilocybin shift patient brain dynamics closer to criticality.

Rapid Decentralized Prostate Cancer Risk Stratification by Portable Liquid Biopsy Analysis within a Clinical Biosensor Validation Framework

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this work, we showcased two significant scientific advances in (i) developing a portable biosensor technology for rapid decentralized prostate cancer urinary biomarker testing and reporting, with superior performance to current clinical testing practice; and (ii) proposing a clinical validation framework (for our biosensor development) which can be ...

Anisotropic elliptic problems; Robin boundary conditions existence and multiplicity

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2017
This article presents sufficient conditions for the existence of solutions of the anisotropic quasilinear elliptic equation with variable exponent and nonlinear Robin boundary conditions, $$\displaylines{ -\sum_{i=1}^{N}\frac{\partial }{\partial x_{i}

Spatial Profiling Reveals Distinct Molecular and Immune Evolution of Mouse Lung Adenocarcinoma Precancers with or Without Carcinogen Exposure

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tumor evolution in lung adenocarcinoma is shaped by genetic alterations and spatial immune dynamics. By integrating whole‐exome sequencing, imaging mass cytometry, and spatial transcriptomics across two mouse models, this study reveals how mutational burden, immune infiltration, and cell–state interactions evolve during early and late carcinogenesis ...

Asymptotic approximation of solution to quasilinear elliptic boundary-value problem in a two-level thick junction of type 3:2:2

open access: yesKarpatsʹkì Matematičnì Publìkacìï, 2013
We consider quasilinear elliptic boundary-value problem in a two-level thick junction $\Omega_\varepsilon$ of type 3:2:2, which is the union of a cylinder $\Omega_0$ and a large number of $\varepsilon$-periodically situated thin discs with varying ...

Endocytic Control of Cell‐Autonomous and Non‐Cell‐Autonomous Functions of p53

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
NUMB Ex3‐containing isoforms localize to the plasma membrane, where they recruit p53 through SNX9 and direct it to multivesicular bodies and exosomes. Exported p53 is taken up by neighboring cells and activates nuclear programs, revealing an intercellular, exosome‐based pathway that might help establish a tumor‐suppressive microenvironment.
