Partial identification with categorical data and nonignorable missing outcomes
Abstract Nonignorable missing outcomes are common in real‐world datasets and often require strong parametric assumptions to achieve identification. These assumptions can be implausible or untestable, and so we may wish to forgo them in favour of partially identified models that narrow the set of a priori possible values to an identification region.

Balancing Impartiality and Advocacy: Observations, Lessons, and Suggestions From a Practicing Ombuds
ABSTRACT Universities increasingly rely on ombuds offices as informal, impartial mechanisms for addressing conflict and strengthening institutional trust. Yet the ombuds role is frequently shaped by tension among impartiality, advocacy, and legal accountability. This paper examines the evolution of the Office of the Ombuds at the University of Maryland,

Coincidence Detection in Flow Cytometry Using Pulse‐Shape Analysis in Polydisperse Suspensions
ABSTRACT Flow cytometers, based on an optical measurement principle, are widely used for cell characterization in a variety of medical applications. Especially in hematology, high counting accuracy is crucial. Therefore, it is essential to develop accurate but also fast coincidence correction methods.

Modeling proppant transport and settling in a 3D propagating fracture
A versatile multiphysics tool is presented for simulating the complex processes involved in hydraulic fracturing treatments. The model couples fracture opening and propagation, variable‐density slurry flow, and proppant particle transport within the multiphysics object‐oriented simulation environment framework, based on two‐phase mixture equations and ...
