Due to the communication channel noises, GPS synchronization process, changing environment temperature and different operating conditions of the system, the statistics of the system process and measurement noises may be unknown and they may not follow ...

Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

AZD9291 has shown promise in targeted cancer therapy but is limited by resistance. In this study, we employed metabolic labeling and LC–MS/MS to profile time‐resolved nascent protein perturbations, allowing dynamic tracking of drug‐responsive proteins. We demonstrated that increased NNMT expression is associated with drug resistance, highlighting NNMT ...

Brain-inspired semantic data augmentation for multi-style images
Data augmentation is an effective technique for automatically expanding training data in deep learning. Brain-inspired methods are approaches that draw inspiration from the functionality and structure of the human brain and apply these mechanisms and ...

A survey of robust statistics [PDF]
We argue that robust statistics has multiple goals, which are not always aligned. Robust thinking grew out of data analysis and the realisation that empirical evidence is at times supported merely by one or a few observations.

PARP inhibitors are used to treat a small subset of prostate cancer patients. These studies reveal that PARP1 activity and expression are different between European American and African American prostate cancer tissue samples. Additionally, different PARP inhibitors cause unique and overlapping transcriptional changes, notably, p53 pathway upregulation.

This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Robust Phase Estimation of Gaussian States in the Presence of Outlier Quantum States
In this paper, we investigate the problem of estimating the phase of a coherent state in the presence of unavoidable noisy quantum states. These unwarranted quantum states are represented by outlier quantum states in this study.

Robust Estimators are Hard to Compute [PDF]
In modern statistics, the robust estimation of parameters of a regression hyperplane is a central problem. Robustness means that the estimation is not or only slightly affected by outliers in the data. In this paper, it is shown that the following robust
