However, on tabular clinical data such as the NCD, it often underperforms compared to conventional machine learning. The prognostic value of the log odds of positive lymph nodes (LODDS) across BMI categories was investigated in patients undergoing colorectal cancer resection. The exploratory evidence demonstrates that LODDS serves as a strong prognostic marker, and its adverse effect may be more pronounced in patients with higher BMI.
