plotROC: A Tool for Plotting ROC Curves [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Software, 2017
Plots of the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve are ubiquitous in medical research. Designed to simultaneously display the operating characteristics at every possible value of a continuous diagnostic test, ROC curves are used in oncology to evaluate screening, diagnostic, prognostic and predictive biomarkers. I reviewed a sample of ROC curve

Highly Selective Toward HER or CO2RR by Regulating Cu Single and Dual Atoms on g‐C3N4

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This systematic study provides insights into the design of electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and carbon dioxide reduction (CO2RR). It serves as a useful guide for tuning catalyst architecture toward efficient multifunctional performance by varying synthetic parameters, demonstrating the impact of copper (Cu) species ranging from ...

Estimating the Area under a Receiver Operating Characteristic Curve For Repeated Measures Design

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Software, 2003
The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve is widely used for diagnosing as well as for judging the discrimination ability of different statistical models.

Myeloperoxidase Luminol Reaction – A Novel Faecal Assay for Predicting Colonoscopy Findings in Patients with Ulcerative Colitis: A Pilot Cross‐Sectional Clinical Study

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Can luminol detect faecal inflammation? This study explores the development and optimisation of a rapid novel assay ‐ Myeloperoxidase Luminol Reaction (MPOLR) for the detection of faecal myeloperoxidase activity. This simple and rapid luminol‐based approach competes with clinically validated faecal biomarkers in predicting endoscopic findings in ...

Electrochemical Biosensor for Rapid Detection of Acute Rejection in Kidney Transplants

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A low‐cost, rapid electrochemical immunosensor coated with a novel antifouling nanocomposite enables single‐step, dual‐biomarker profiling directly from unprocessed urine. Application in a clinical study shows accurate discrimination of acute rejection in kidney transplants from other acute kidney injuries via machine learning.

Finding the Optimal Threshold of a Parametric ROC Curve Under a Continuous Diagnostic Measurement

open access: yesRevstat Statistical Journal, 2018
The accuracy of a binary diagnostic test can easily be assessed by comparing the sensitivity and specificity with the status of respondents. When the result of a diagnostic test is continuous, the assessment of accuracy depends on a specified threshold.
