Rock burst governance of working face under igneous rock [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Conference Proceedings, 2017
As a typical failure phenomenon, rock burst occurs in many mines. It can not only cause the working face to cease production, but also cause serious damage to production equipment, and even result in casualties. To explore how to govern rock burst of working face under igneous rock, the 10416 working face in some mine is taken as engineering background.

A self-supervision rockburst risk prediction algorithm based on automatic mining of rockburst prediction index features

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science
The rockburst risk prediction based on microseismic (MS) data is an important research task in deep mine safety prevention. However, the lack of systematic research on explicit prediction indexes and the waste of a large amount of unlabeled data are ...

Shattering Rock with Intense Bursts of Energetic Electrons [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Nuclear Science, 1973
It has been successfully demonstrated that intense bursts of energetic electrons cause significant rock spalling for modest energy inputs. The corresponding temperature rise per pulse in the bombarded volume of rock is only ~ 200° C, or so. Some analytical predictions and experimental evidence of this novel accelerator application are presented.
