Availability of Sodium in Defluorinated Rock Phosphate
Abstract INTRODUCTION DURING the course of a research program designed to determine the sodium requirements of broiler strain chicks it was found that one widely used brand of defluorinated rock phosphate 1 (DFRP-A) contained 5.7% sodium. This level contrasts with the level of 0.19% sodium in defluorinated rock phosphate quoted by the National ...

In vitro DISSOLUTION OF ACIDULATED ROCK PHOSPHATE BY PHOSPHATE SOLUBILIZING MICROORGANISMS
The low availability of phosphorus (P) in the soil and the high cost of P fertilization are factors that limit agricultural productivity. A biotechnological alternative for to handle this problem is to use soil microorganisms capable of dissolving rock phosphate (RP), thus improving its effectiveness as a P fertilizer.
