Transient Cytoskeletal Anisotropy Encodes Short‐Term Mechanical Memory in Glioblastoma Cells

The same mechanical deformation can produce distinct cytoskeletal states depending on loading history. Experiments and constitutive modeling reveal that transient actin–vimentin anisotropy stores mechanical information and governs short‐term mechanical memory in glioblastoma cells.

Enhanced geothermal systems rely on increasing permeability and pore surface area in rock. Cyclic thermal shocking can achieve both by inducing thermal cracks through repeated rapid cooling.

A bio‐inspired biomineralization strategy introduces an additional hierarchy to flax fiber composites. By controlling microbe‐mediated mineral particle deposition through tuned salt concentrations, stress transfer within the natural fiber composite is enhanced.
