Combustion Modeling in Solid Rocket Motor Plumes [PDF]
The thermo-chemistry of plumes emanating from solid rocket motors (SRM) is strongly influenced by hydrogen/oxygen/chlorine chemistry. These after-burning reactions have a significant impact onto the infrared signature, as well as on chemical and thermal loads within the propulsion system.

This work presents a magnetic‐bearing acoustic resonator that overcomes the thermodynamics limit of sound absorption. By introducing tunable negative stiffness, it achieves broadband low‐frequency absorption within a compact cavity, far exceeding the performance achievable by classic mass‐tuned designs.

Improving the dispersion of nano‐aluminum is of great importance in explosives and propellants. The spherical Al/HMX/CuO energetic micro‐units were prepared using microchannel technology, which significantly improved the uniformity and dispersion of nano‐Al. It also enhanced the mass and heat transfer efficiency between the fuel and oxidizer components,
