Study: Algorithms for rocket engine thermochemistry

open access: yes, 2021
This thesis compiles the process of upgrading two libraries (INIST and HGS) which provide to their users the thermodynamics properties and algorithms needed to analyse liquid rocket engine feed cycles. First, the Thermodynamic theory for real fluids, ideal fluids and mixtures is reviewed, as well as the algorithms and tools that the libraries implement.

Sequential Detector Statistics for Speculative Bubbles

open access: yesJournal of Time Series Analysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We propose a heteroskedasticity‐robust locally best invariant (LBI) statistic to test the hypothesis of a unit root against the alternative of an explosive root associated with speculative bubbles. Compared to existing alternatives such as Dickey‐Fuller type tests, the LBI statistic has a standard limiting distribution and greater power ...

The development of power specific redlines for SSME safety monitoring [PDF]

open access: yes
Over the past several years, there has been an increased awareness in the necessity for rocket engine health monitoring because of the cost and complexity of present and future systems. A current rocket engine system, the Space Shuttle Main Engine (SSME),
