Synthesis of hafnium carbide (HfC) via one‐step selective laser reaction pyrolysis from liquid polymer precursor

open access: yesJournal of the American Ceramic Society, Volume 108, Issue 9, September 2025.
➢ A one‐step selective laser reaction pyrolysis (SLRP) technique was developed to rapidly synthesize hafnium carbide (HfC) from liquid polymer precursors. ➢ XRD and TEM confirmed the nanocrystalline structure of the HfC. ➢ The SLRP‐based process achieved up to 54% ceramic yield, 18% higher than furnace‐based methods.

AI‐Powered Advancements in Food Analysis and Safety: Ensuring Quality, Protection, and Precision in Modern Food Systems: A Review

open access: yeseFood, Volume 6, Issue 4, August 2025.
The role of AI in contaminant detection and spoilage prediction is underlined. One of the applications is using near‐infrared spectroscopy on a machine learning algorithm sample to determine if it contains any adulterants in olive oil. Also, trying to develop computer vision techniques that can soon be widely deployed to detect defects in the automated
