Amine-AlH3 Adducts as Energetic Materials for a New Generation of Solid Fuels. [PDF]

open access: yesChemistry
New amine‐AlH₃ adducts offer a more environmentally friendly, high‐energy alternative to conventional rocket propellants, and exhibit ultra‐fast ignition. They can be synthesized by mechanochemical method under hydrogen pressure starting from aluminum metal directly or by wet chemical processes with AlH3.

FRACTURE IN ROCKET PROPELLANT

open access: yesLe Journal de Physique IV, 1991
As part of a safety program, we studied the fracture of several rocket propellants under plate impacts and Taylor tests, thus examining fracture under both one- dimensional planar and two-dimensional axisymmetric loadings. Here we outline the experimental results for one propellant (termed Propellant B), describe the constitutive model developed, and ...

Use of cryogenic components of propellants for liquid-propellant rocket engines and in life support systems of manned space vehicles [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2020
The cited materials show the use of oxygen, hydrogen, liquefied natural gases (methane) and fluorine as components of the fuel for liquid-propellant rocket engines (LRE). The reasons for the need to use oxygen as an oxidizing agent are indicated.
