Mass Spectrometry Structural Proteomics Enabled by Limited Proteolysis and Cross‐Linking

open access: yesMass Spectrometry Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The exploration of protein structure and function stands at the forefront of life science and represents an ever‐expanding focus in the development of proteomics. As mass spectrometry (MS) offers readout of protein conformational changes at both the protein and peptide levels, MS‐based structural proteomics is making significant strides in the

High‐Performance Oxidation and Nanomolar Detection of Phenylhydrazine Using a 6‐Hydroxyflavone‐Based Molecular Electrocatalyst Functionalized Multiwalled Carbon Nanotube in Batch Injection Analysis

open access: yesChemistryOpen, EarlyView.
This study presents a novel, rapid method for in situ functionalization of carbon electrodes using redox‐active form of the 6‐hydroxyflavone. The resulting multiwalled carbon nanotubes with redox‐active HFLA (MWCNT@HFLA‐Redox) electrode enables sensitive, selective detection of toxic phenylhydrazine, with excellent performance (limit of detection: 7 nM)

Mechanical properties of HTPB composite propellants in the initial period of service life [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Technical Review, 2014
Uniaxial tensile tests of different composite solid rocket propellant compositions, based on hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene (HTPB), have shown that mechanical properties extensively change after curing, up to 100% of their initial values, during the ...

Quantitative Evaluation of Rocket Propellants

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Physics, 1952
A method for the quantitative evaluation of chemicals as rocket propellants is described. The procedure utilizes the fact that adiabatic expansion through a nozzle may be considered to be isentropic. Treatments are presented for the two limiting conditions of expansion, corresponding to flow without chemical change and to flow which is characterized ...

Uncertainty Quantification Enabled by Automatic Differentiation for Hydrodynamic Simulation of Shock‐to‐Detonation Transition in High Explosives

open access: yesPropellants, Explosives, Pyrotechnics, EarlyView.
Uncertainty in the time‐to‐detonation of a Insensitive High Explosive (IHE) for a range of input shock pressures. Experimental and prediction intervals are shown as well as the constraint surface showing the limits of the IHE standard. ABSTRACT Quantifying the effects of uncertainty in a reactive burn model on the run‐to‐detonation time in high ...
