Three‐dimensional landscape changes were investigated in the Kitchener Avalanche Path, Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park, New Zealand, after an extreme storm in July 2022. The Path features an earthen diversion berm constructed in 2018 to mitigate the risk of avalanches to the adjacent Aoraki/Mount Cook Village.

We provide a geomorphological analysis of Cordillera Vilcanota and use morphostratigraphic principles to reconstruct palaeo icefield extent and palaeoglacier readvances, likely during the Antarctic Cold Reversal and Younger Dryas. We find evidence of temperate and polythermal ice margins, with limited glaciofluvial landform generation.

Abstract A small‐volume 6,000 m3 rockslide struck the Lorgino hamlet of Crevoladossola (NW Italy) just before 23:00 UTC on 26 January 2023, at the boundary of a nearby marble quarry. The rockslide severely damaged the mining infrastructure and halted operations for months, fortunately without causing injuries or casualties.
