Background and Aims: Priming principle refers to administration of a small dose of non-depolarising blocker, which when followed by a large intubating dose produces a relatively rapid and profound blockade to ensure suitable conditions for endotracheal ...

A comparative study of different induction techniques (Propofol-Placebo, Propofol-Ephedrine and Propofol- Placebo-Crystalloid) on intubating conditions after rocuronium administration [PDF]
This was a prospective randomized double blind controlled study to compare intubating conditions at 60 seconds with rocuronium 0.6 mg/kg by using three different induction techniques: propofol-placebo (PP), propofol-ephedrine (PE) and propofol ...

Evaluación del bloqueo neuromuscular en niños al momento de la reversión del bloqueo y de la retirada de la cánula endotraqueal [PDF]
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: Studies show the importance of monitoring neuromuscular function in preventing the residual block. However, most anesthesiologists in their daily practice base their evaluation of the recovery of neuromuscular function on ...

Human induced pluripotent stem cell‐derived retinal pigment epithelial (hiPSC‐RPE) cells, cultured on a clinically relevant PDLLA scaffold, are transplanted into immunosuppressed minipigs. The study demonstrates the viability, integration, and preservation of RPE‐specific features without gliosis or neuroinflammation, supporting their potential as a ...

Clinical Pharmacology of Rocuronium Bromide

Comparison of effects of rocuronium bromide versus vecuronium bromide on hemodynamic parameters during anaesthesia for elective surgical procedures [PDF]
Background: Understanding haemodynamic effects of muscle relaxants may help us in selection of most appropriate muscle relaxant in a given case after considering preoperative cardiac status, preoperative medications, anaesthetic drugs to be used, nature ...

Impact of Anesthesia on Brain Functional Networks in Moyamoya Disease and Spinal Lesions
Ischemic MMD alters brain network connectivity, impacting cognition and executive function. Patients with ischemic MMD under propofol combined with remifentanil anesthesia showed decreases in the DMN, SEN, FPN, and SAN. Anesthetic protocols should consider MMD‐related brain changes to minimize cognitive impact.

Comparison of two rocuronium bromide doses in adult and elderly patients who underwent laparoscopic surgery [PDF]
Background The aim of our study was to evaluate the effects of two different doses of rocuronium bromide (0.5 mg/kg and 0.9 mg/kg) on the length of neuromuscular block, on the haemodynamic stability and on the side effects in patients of different ages ...

Rocuronium for intubation in parturients undergoing caesarean section [PDF]
Background: Anaesthetic management of a parturient is a challenge because it involves simultaneous care of both mother and baby. Succinylcholine, a depolarizing muscle relaxant is most commonly used and considered “The Gold Standard’’ for tracheal ...
