Influence of climate on mandarin fruit quality: comparative studies between Brazil and France cultural and environmental conditions : S02O02 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Brazil is leader of concentrated and frozen orange juice production in the world. However, the extension of fresh orange and mandarin market could provide higher gains for the producers, as occurred in Spain and California (USA).

Mammals with large home ranges, low reproductive rates and small body sizes are most vulnerable to roads: A meta‐analysis

open access: yesJournal of Applied Ecology, Volume 62, Issue 12, Page 3227-3239, December 2025.
Road mitigation for mammals should ideally be informed by site‐level knowledge and generally involve prioritizing species with the combination of larger home ranges, lower reproductive rates and smaller body sizes. To protect these vulnerable mammals from roads, we should maintain low road densities and instal small‐mesh mitigation fencing along roads.

The pathogenesis-related protein PR-4 from Theobroma cacao has antifungal activity and induces ROS in Moniliophthora perniciosa : S03O02 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The pathogenesis-related proteins class 4 (PR-4) are known to be involved in plant defense response and/or related stress situations. The objective of this study was to evaluate the antifungal activity and reactive oxygen species (ROS) production of the ...

Segurança viária em rodovias inseridas em áreas urbanas

open access: yesRevista Transporte y Territorio, 2022

Cu(I)‐Catalyzed Interrupted Cycloaddition Between Azides, Ag(I)‐Acetylides, and Diorganoyl Dichalcogenides

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, Volume 367, Issue 21, November 13, 2025.
Unleashing the power of Ag(I)‐acetylides with LiCl/dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO). The LiCl/DMSO mixture have an unexplored ability to dramatically increase the solubility of Ag(I)‐acetylides regardless of their molecular structure, which is explored to achieve high chemoselectivity in the Cu(I)‐catalyzed interrupted cycloaddition between organic azides, Ag(

Analysis of DREB1D gene sequence in different Coffea genotypes : S03P07 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In several plant species, the DREB genes play a key role in responses to abiotic stress. Since the development of molecular markers is one of the major goals for accelerating breeding programs, a study was done to evaluate the sequence variability of the

Description of pistillate flowers and conservation status of two species of Mollinedia (Monimiaceae, Laurales) from the Brazilian Atlantic forest

open access: yesNordic Journal of Botany, Volume 2025, Issue 10, October 2025.
Mollinedia is one of the richest genera of Monimiaceae, with approximately 60 species. In Brazil, 46 species of the genus occur, most of them in the Atlantic Forest. Mollinedia dolichotricha and Mollinedia ruschii are species endemic to the Atlantic Forest and described in the last decade.

Expression analysis of Mildew Resistance Locus O of cacao in resistant and susceptible plants infected by Moniliophthora perniciosa : S01P03 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
A Mildew Resistance Locus O (MLO) cDNA was identified from a library of Theobroma cacao L. meristems (Catongo varieties) infected by Moniliophthora perniciosa, the fungus responsible for the witches' broom disease.

Phylogenomic evidence reveals non‐monophyly of Paepalanthoideae (Eriocaulaceae) and challenges the broad concept of Paepalanthus

open access: yesTAXON, Volume 74, Issue 5, Page 1054-1066, October 2025.
Abstract Eriocaulaceae is a pantropical family of approximately 1200 species across 18 genera, with its highest diversity in the Neotropical region. Traditionally, the family has been divided into two subfamilies, Eriocauloideae and Paepalanthoideae, based on floral traits. Here, we use target‐capture sequencing of nuclear markers to test the monophyly
