Human Brain Mapping, Volume 47, Issue 15, October 15, 2026.CBV VASO based fMRI was optimized on NexGen 7T for layer‐specific hippocampal imaging and tested using an autobiographical memory task. Depth dependent activation profiles based on VASO and BOLD images from the same acquisition differed particularly in subiculum, consistent with activation mislocalization in BOLD profiles due to venous bias.
