A Robotic Testing Platform for Pipelined Discovery of Resilient Dielectric Elastomer Actuators

This work introduces a robotic testing platform enabling high‐throughput, multi‐parameter lifetime mapping of linear dielectric elastomer actuators (DEAs). By integrating programmable high‐voltage control and automated electromechanical measurements, the system identifies material and operating conditions that double actuator lifetime.

Unipolar Barrier Near‐Infrared 2D Photodetectors for 3D Image Sensors

A MoTe2/WSe2/Cl–SnSe2 unipolar barrier photodetector is demonstrated, in which the WSe2 layer effectively blocks majority‐carrier injection, yielding suppressed dark current and enhanced near‐infrared (NIR) sensing. Bio‐Inspired Gradient Coatings Enhance the Leading Edge Erosion Resistance of Wind Blades

Rain‐induced erosion of the wind turbine blade leading edge poses a critical challenge to maintenance and operation. Here, we propose a bio‐inspired approach for erosion protection utilising a platelet‐reinforced polyurethane coating with a graded through‐thickness architecture.

Inverse Design of Pre‐Strain via a Predictive Electromechanical Model for Enhanced Strain Sensing

An analytical electromechanical model rooted in microcrack evolution mechanics is globally calibrated from only eight pre‐strain datasets, enabling prediction of the complete sensing response at untested pre‐strain values within the calibrated design space (R2 > 0.99).
